Adding sources to the Library
The more Cleo knows, the more she can handle on her own. Adding sources takes a minute: upload, let it process, done. This article shows what you can add and how to keep the quality high.
Before you start: gather the documents callers ask about most — opening hours, price list, FAQs, how you work. That immediately covers the bulk of the questions.
What you can add
Documents — PDFs and text files — Cleo reads the full text.
Images — Photos and scans of documents. Cleo reads them with text recognition and describes what's on them.
Audio — Voice memos and recordings — automatically transcribed and summarized. Handy for "speaking" knowledge in.
Links — Public web pages, like your website or pricing page. Cleo fetches the page and summarizes it. Note: one page per link — Cleo doesn't crawl your whole site.
On the go, via the mobile app — Capture a photo, voice memo, note or link from your phone — it lands in the same Library.
How to add a source
1
Open the Library
Go to
Library in the main menu and click Add source.2
Pick your file or paste a link
Processing starts right away. You'll see the status per source — usually done within a minute.
3
Walk through the queue
Items Cleo isn't sure about appear under Needs review. Approving or rejecting takes one click.
High-confidence items become Active automatically — you don't have to review everything by hand.

Tips for good sources
Short and factual works best — A list of prices or opening hours produces sharper answers than a brochure full of marketing copy.
Keep it current — New version of a document? Add it and archive the old one — outdated knowledge is the number-one cause of wrong answers.
Mark sensitive material — Set the privacy level to Private or Sensitive — those items are never used in phone conversations.
Common problems
My link isn't fetched
Cleo can only read public pages. Pages behind a login or pages built entirely with scripts won't work — in that case upload the content as a PDF.
Processing hangs or fails
Open the source menu and choose Reprocess. If it keeps failing, check that the file isn't protected or empty.
